What I get out of teaching is I get to do what I love and share with others the understated art of Printmaking & Silkscreen.
I was an artist in residence for 10 years at the South Florida Arts Center when I was asked if I wanted to participate in a teaching program. I enjoy teaching and have continued to do so ever since.
This slide show presentation will show the viewer how I make my silk screens.
Art Adventures…
Art Adventures is a program developed by the Art Center in correlation with the Dade County Board of Education’s Division of Life Skills. Aimed at grades 7 to 11 children are offered the unique opportunity to learn via in-depth hands-on workshops, in a variety of mediums with Art Center artists. Students have the opportunity to visit and learn in working art studios and tour current galleries & window exhibitions. At the end of the program, The ACSF holds a reception to exhibit work to parents, friends, and the broader community.
Through this program, students learn to express themselves, individually and collaboratively. Artists share their knowledge of painting, drawing, printmaking, black & white photography, sculpture and fiber arts.
